US tariffs in 2026
US tariff policy changed several times. The Supreme Court ruled in February 2026 that IEEPA does not authorise tariffs, ending the 2025 “reciprocal” duties. A temporary 10% Section 122 surcharge applied from February to July 2026, and new Section 301 tariffs on many trading partners took effect from 24 July 2026. On top of these, normal HTS duty rates for apparel apply. Because rates differ by country and HTS code, ask your customs broker for the current rate before setting prices.
The duty-free de minimis exemption for low-value shipments also remains suspended, so even small parcels are dutiable.
