What HS code is used for uniforms?

Last updated 26 October 2026 · Reviewed by Salman Munawar, Founder

Short answer

There is no single HS code for uniforms. Each garment is classified by type, fabric and whether it is knitted or woven: knitted sports jerseys under 6110 or 6109, knitted shorts under 6103/6104, woven work trousers under 6203/6204, woven shirts under 6205/6206 and coveralls under 6211. Confirm the full national code with your broker.

Common codes

  • Sports or team uniform top (knitted polyester): 6110.30 or 6109.90
  • Sports shorts (knitted polyester): 6103.43 (men’s) / 6104.63 (women’s)
  • Work trousers (woven cotton): 6203.42 (men’s) / 6204.62 (women’s)
  • Martial arts uniforms such as karate gis (woven cotton): commonly 6211.32 / 6211.42

How we help at Ravix Pro

For a mixed uniform order we list every garment as its own line on the commercial invoice with its fabric and construction, so each item gets the right code and duty rate instead of one guessed code for the whole shipment.
